SONNY MONTGOMERY VA HOSPITAL BUS SERVICE INFORMATION

Lacy Kelly VFW Post 3036 provides transportation for veterans with appointments at the Sonny Montgomery Veterans Hospital in Jackson, MS. This service is available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at no cost to the veterans. Patients should be at the Post by 7:00 AM as the bus leaves as soon as it is loaded, but not later than 7:15AM. RESERVATIONS WILL NO LONGER be taken at the Post. Passage will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Reservations, however, will still be taken for patients loading at Collins.

The driver must check credentials, a photo I.D. and save reserved seating for other stops on the route to Jackson. The bus will leave Jackson no later than 2:00 PM for the return trip to Hattiesburg. The driver is in command of the bus from the time of loading at Hattiesburg until the bus is unloaded after returning from Jackson. Please remember, all drivers are volunteers and they receive no pay. For this reason alone, they should be given respect and cooperation in all matters
